Alternatives in Sentencing:

SCI's primary strength is in the development of alternatives to incarceration. SCI is one of the few companies that have combined the use of behavior modifying counseling programs with the use of punishment and supervision options such as home confinement via electronic monitoring.

 

 Over the past several years, SCI has developed a State certified Chemical Dependency Treatment Program, a 52 week Batterers Treatment Program, a Juvenile Misdemeanor Intervention Program, an Adult Misdemeanor Intervention Program, a Suspended Drivers License Violator Program and a Values Clarification/ Life Skills Program. Each of these programs has significantly facilitated the successful use of alternatives, particularly when combined with a punishment option.
Some of these programs are also available by way of a residential treatment component established by SCI.
